Carmelo is located in the Department of Colonia (Uruguay), located on the "Arroyo de las Vacas", very close to its confluence with the River Uruguay. It is 236 km away from Montevideo (capital of Uruguay) and the town faces the Parana River delta.
Carmelo is considered is the "second city of Colonia" after Colonia del Sacramento and has a population of 22,000 inhabitants. Caramel has a beautiful boat landing on the Arroyo de las Vacas. There you can find boats and yachts that arrive from the coast of Argentina and the rest of Uruguay. The Yacht Club offers a very good option for those who arrive in their boats to Carmelo.
