Expo Prado: La Rural de Prado

From 9 September until 20 September will be 104th presentation of the EXPO PRADO in Montevideo Uruguay. The expo has many shows with cows, sheep, horses and also stands for many different countries, showing their traditions and also the technological developments of each country.

Tradition and modernity come together in this new edition of the Rural Association of Uruguay (URA- the organizer of the event). It aims to capture  the interests of all ages with a variety of activities and a wide range of events. While agriculture is the basis of this event, this year it has added new elements making a multi-cultural and multi-faceted event. One of the goals set by URA (the organization), is to exceed the 530,000 visitors who came to the fair last year.

Expo Prado 2009, will open on Wednesday 9 September with the inaugural parade, at 12 pm.

The tickets cost (all prices in pesos) $95 per person, under 12 and adults over 50 years $65. You can also buy a "special pass" for every day of the event for $570, children under 6 years are admitted free, university students of agricultural careers have a special pass just $ 285.
