Guided Tours Of Montevideo Cemetery

09/11/09 07:40

Uruguay, any: cementerio centralI know that may sound a bit strange, it was strange for me when I read it, but in Montevideo you've got the possibility of guided tours in the Central Cemetery. Tours are called "Art and History in the Central Cemetery". The visits are organized by the Municipality of Montevideo, and whoever wants to access these tours, you must reserve a place on the Monday preceding the visit.

The next visit will be on Thursday 17 September and, so you should book on Monday 14/09 to do the tour on Thursday 17/09.

To book, call tel 950-3171 or in person at the Department of Tourism and Events (Mayor of Montevideo, floor 3) The tours are free!

Is there a website information/reservation for this Department of Tourism and Events for the tour of Central Cemetery. I have tried to searched online and yet came to any success. Many thanks!
