Montevideo, The Heart Of Uruguay

Uruguay's fascinating capital Montevideo attracts huge number of tourists and despite being a small city there are many great things to see....
Some of the attractions are the Parque Rodó neighborhood where you can take paddle boats on the lake or try out the rollercoaster at the amusements park. You could also visit the Centenario Football Stadium where the first world cup was held or slip into history by visiting the citadel gate and the metropolitan cathedral in the old city downtown.
And what more would you want to see when you are in Montevideo? Its is the famous Carnival celebrations throughout the month of February every year!
