Your name?
Alejandro del Pino
Your Location (city, etc)

Please give us a short summary of your website?
I created this blog to help foreigners who are living in Uruguay or intend to come. As the son of a diplomat I know what itīs like to have to make a home away from home. I would like to be there to help.
What inspired you to launch your own website?
I believe it is a great way to reach many people from all over the world. A great way to communicate.
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
I launched my first blog in 2006. With this blog I help Apanish speaking people who study English. I worked as English teacher for many years and tried to use that experience to help people with the things they find more difficult.
How did you decide on a name for your website?
I wanted a name that gave people a pretty good idea of what I was offering them and who it is oriented to.
What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?
I have a long personal experience as a foreigner in different countries so I know what people feel and try to give them what I think they need.
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
I enjoy relating to people and trying to communicate with them in their own language (I speak Spanish, English, French and Italian). I would like to find a way of making a living while doing this, offering a service that is useful and fun, and at the same time gives me the means to give it my full attention.
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
At the moment not very well. For the moment I have to keep my current job which leaves me less time to dedicate to this endevour.
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
I would change it from a Blog to a Website and give it a much more wide range of offers. I would also like to make it more interactive to be able to reach more people.
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
Not at the moment. I would have lo start looking for assistance and bring more people in. I have thought about it and know who I would like to work with.
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
None so far, but I`ve just started
What has been your biggest challenge?
Getting people to know my blog
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
Finding on the Internet groups of people who fit into my objective.
How has running your website differed from your expectations?
Too early to say
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
I`ve just started.
What is your website address?
